I like this alarm clock. My only concern is that inserting the key doesn't work every time and the alarm then goes off. not down when you try to put it on the brake disc, which is weird. Also, it's a niche market and that's why they charge so much for these things. Last but not least, you'll need a special battery changing tool, so keep it in a safe place!

Effective deterrence and alerting

The unit I received from Revain appeared to be returned defective. The alarm is patchy in its functionality - it often goes off when the lock isn't locked or attached to the bike (when I got it it went off non-stop along the way), and sometimes it doesn't work when installed on the bike. Bicycle. Customer service is generally responsive, but I feel like I have to jump through hoops to have this unit replaced. However, this lock and alarm combined with a quality cover and lock prevented my…

The alarm will sound all the time whether it is activated or not.

The alarm is always triggered whether it is activated or not. Simply lifting the lock will trigger the alarm. It hurts my ears and drives my dogs crazy. I have contacted Xena support and have not received a response from them. There is no phone number for support and you have to email them. I just have to get this thing out of the house. I will never buy anything from Xena again. Update: 12/01/2017 Xena Support replied to my email and helped to solve the problem. The internal alarm module was…

Good immobilizer, but too sensitive

Tighten S1000RR. To be clear, I really like this product, but I would like it a lot more if it wasn't so delicate. The slightest flicker of motion sets it in motion, making it very difficult to remove, especially when the pins are sticky. It has a habit of beeping loudly (partially armed?) when I put it on, which is annoying at night. I ended up taking the battery out and just using it as an immobilizer and it works great for that. I live near railroad tracks and a slight tremor from a train…

So far so good for alarm systems

Based on the product description I expected a little more. See my customer picture. A two-day priority letter from Texas to Oklahoma arrived. The battery was included but it was already installed so I thought it might be a used return. The "remove before use" strip still covered the battery contacts. After some work I was able to remove the cover and the battery/alarm box. Several attempts were made to split the ears before I was able to reinstall the battery/alarm module. You need to insert…

Reliable and easy to use

I bought this for my 2013 Ninja 300 and it fits comfortably on the front and rear brake discs. The yellow on the lock is very bright and easy to see, so I'm not worried about accidentally leaving it on. The lock is very easy to use; Insert key and turn right to unlock (lock barrel pops out), turn key left and remove key, place lock on brake disc and insert barrel until it clicks. The lock emits a loud confirmation tone after putting it on. I tested the siren to see how loud it is, and even with

Better than the competition.

.but still a lot of work. If you put it on a floppy disk and set an alarm, it will sometimes start ringing after a few hours for no reason. This is not a malfunction, otherwise I would have exchanged it. Thing is, this thing uses a laser that's projected onto the brake disc/rotor, and when it detects the movement of the laser, it fires. Unfortunately, rotors can get a little dirty, and if dirt or sand on the rotor doesn't make the laser's initial reflection optimal, it's more likely to fire…

Good cheap alarm for your bike

I bought this alarm to fit a Suzuki SV650 with standard brake discs. Even though my bike is blue and comes with a blue lock, I chose yellow to make it stand out from the bike. The lock fits snugly on the front rotor and the sensitivity can be adjusted depending on the position of the alarm. The alarm is loud enough and gives enough warning before it goes off, giving you plenty of time to turn it off before making a scene. Even though it accidentally got wet it still works properly so I'm sure…
