These are similar to the OTC version but lack the requisite angled sides needed to work properly with the Jeep. I would at least try another brand but over the counter is better.

When pressing in the lower TeraFlex ball joint, there was no flat surface to mate with the bushing. As a result, the sleeve deformed when pressure was applied. Worked well to remove the factory ball joints, but pressing to the bottom caused warping around the hub bore.

It was nice to have special parts for the TJ Jeep. The angle cup was fine, but the OMT brand C-clamp only engaged on the last of the 4 ball joints. Apparently the C-clip needs to be broken. The insert cup is a little thin and doesn't quite fit the smaller ball joint. I bought a ball joint kit BJS-0401-00 and it has an insert cup that is a bit thicker than this kit and works better. I bought two sets because I read reviews that the cup that was used had failed and flared. It will work if you are

Replacing ball joints is very difficult for the first time. They can fight you just like me. When removing the top, the receiver cup was not long enough, I had to use the one from the kit with a hole in the bottom. When installing I pushed in a few turns then removed and tapped straight, it worked. Trying hard only makes problems worse. It is highly recommended to clean and soak the assembly with hammer oil. Clean the tops of the links before using the hammer. If you're a pro don't buy this…
