Best mediocre at rowing

2 out of 4 stopped working with little to no use. I've tried changing batteries, which are known to be good, but to no avail. This is a potentially inexpensive solution to a temporary problem. During YMMV, don't expect much.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Piggy bank price

50% failure rate (so far)

I bought four of these for my two kayaks. For several days one of the lamps did not go out. When you open the battery compartment, the battery has already started to rust. A few weeks later, the second light met the same fate. Although they are considered sea lights, they don't seem to mix well with water.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some small things

Great little lights - good value for money.

These are fantastic little lights which we used as a backup when our main bow lights failed on our 42ft sailboat on our recent trip to the Bahamas. They did a great job all night getting us safely to our destination where we could order and replace the main headlights. They are of great value and worth having on board, especially for us as reversing lights!

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Big disappointment!

I bought these identical looking headlights here from Bright Eyes and am delighted. I saw them for a good price and decided to buy. Although these lights look identical to the Bright Eyes lights, they are based on the less efficient smaller AG10 batteries rather than the more powerful and longer lasting 2032 car batteries. For some reason I didn't think they were going to fail fairly quickly and without warning. I've had two out of four that didn't catch fire right out of the box and now after…

Defective First use on a boat

We bought these lights for night kayaking. The set contains a pure bright white light and three softer colored lights. We tried them at home as soon as we got them and they immediately caught fire. Not so on the very first attempt at actual use. White light turned into its first ultra-fast flash setting and stayed there. We couldn't turn the lights off or stop flashing. Luckily we had cell phones so we still had bright lights. The broken one turned out to be completely useless and was buried in

Good value for money for short-term use

Great for the price. They're bright, have options, and are easy to install. You get 4 lamps for $10. I just put a blue light on my honda 2hp to make the costco boat look 'fancy' at night lol. Let's see how long this lasts. I would pay twice as much if they made an effort to make them more waterproof. The only thing that keeps the water out is the silicone sleeve but I wouldn't soak it and I plan on taking it off as the boat is kept in the water (salt) and I don't feel they could even handle a…

  • Not bad
