    He ticks all the boxes

TL;DR is simple: I found the SW321C to be a phenomenal, uncompromising, almost flawless monitor. Great stand, great UI (love the puck), great image quality, even backlighting, no glare. It's great for work and play. There's an IPS glow, but it's inevitable. I'm a programmer who spends most of my time on my computer - reading/writing texts, watching videos and playing games. I have previously used 2 Dell U2518D monitors which even after calibrating with iDisplay Pro Plus had the following…

Cons of USB-C, generally good looking for a Macbook

UPDATED 12/10/21 I'm using a Macbook Pro 2021 and I still connect an external monitor. It looks like there are no firmware updates available for this monitor. There were some Mac OS updates that caused monitor crashes with USB-C here and there and I assumed BenQ would update something but nothing. Today I switched my cable to HDMI hoping the crashes will stop. However, this is only possible because the Macbook Pro added an HDMI port to the laptops. Maybe it's not BenQ's fault? But their fault…

    • Some cons

I bought the SW271 almost a year after adding it to my "wish list" at Revain; couldn't decide to spend that much money on a monitor; Then, when I realized that my workstation computer was 7 years old and needed an upgrade - the decision was made for me - the CMOS battery started to give problems. After replacing that cheap little thing, I started adding bigger, more expensive, and good things. I was carried away. I replaced my old EVGA graphics card with an EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, EVGA

    • The monitor only works in black and white mode.

Perfect screen and excellent uniformity when tested with offline software. The perfect photo monitor. All advertised features are tested, so I won't go into detail. This is the best you can get for photography without dropping over $5,000. However, if Eizo had had a 32-inch monitor from the 4K CS series back then, I would have chosen that instead. But this BenQ is still close to what it's capable of. First the hardware calibration with the BenQ Palette Master Element. The software is buggy as…

    Outstanding image quality

Ok, bad at first. The out of the box calibration is terrible. I don't understand why a manufacturer puts so much emphasis on factory calibration when it doesn't work. The display is darker around the edges, which I don't like but seems typical of this type of display. The monitor comes with multiple video cables but no HDMI to HDMI cable and no DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable. It comes with a Mini DisplayPort cable for a full DisplayPort, a USB-C cable, and a USB-A cable, but none of these…

    Nice picture quality WOW!

I have been using the BenQ sw240 monitor for 3 years now. I LOVE IT! First I bought BenQ sw240 and ViewSonic. The ViewSonic was cheaper and I really wanted to keep it, but the BenQ's screen quality outperformed the ViewSonic in clarity and color and there was no comparison. I don't regret paying $399 for the BenQ. I had some issues with the initial setup, but BenQ tech support was really helpful and responded quickly.

    Amazing quality screen for photographers/artists

I bought this monitor because my colleague (photographer) recommended it. I'm so glad I followed his recommendation and bought it. This has been an amazing addition to my workstation. I can connect my 16 inch Macbook Pro with a USB-C cable and work on all my projects. It's bright, the colors are accurate, and I love the lens hood that comes with the monitor to block out extra light around the screen. I would recommend this monitor to anyone who needs a quality monitor for editing/working on the

    Problems with the calibration software

The BenQ SW271 monitor is characterized by pixel density and excellent quality. I would buy it again. The problem I had was getting BenQ's proprietary calibration software to install and run correctly using the xRite i1 Display Pro calibration device. At first I couldn't even open their software on a Windows 10 system and got a missing FTDI driver(?). After trying to use xRite's own calibration software and not getting rid of the dominant greens and then the reds. After submitting an online…

I really wanted to like this monitor. Set up quickly. The picture was all I could hope for. Port c is great for connecting to my work PC when needed. The dots design looks very nice. Unfortunately I have a problem with the USB upstream driver. Windows shows an exclamation mark in the device manager. I also had some problems with the DP port. The latter may have been user error, although Banq only supplied a cable with a mini connector on one side, which meant I had to dig up an old cable…

    ok half price

I managed to get the SW271 at half price. It's a good monitor, but not exceptional. The detail is great but the contrast is terrible. I calibrated the Spyder with a small improvement. Most of my images are stacked and the monitor is great at showing flaws in detail but not good for color adjustments. To update. I used Datacolor SpyderXPro software to initially calibrate the monitor. I decided to try the BenQ Palette Master software. This was more painful as it took a lot of time, but it worked…

    • Not as thick as other options

I am an advanced amateur photographer and bought this monitor to implement the 10-bit AdobeRBG workflow for artistic quality photo printing on the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000. This is a solid device, the stand is very heavy and well constructed. I like the handle that is built into the stand. The packaging was very good: I wouldn't worry about damage in transit. The panel itself is made of ordinary plastic, but it has a high-quality look and feel. Overall, the performance of the panel is…

Ideal monitor for my photo shop

This monitor is great. Came within a day. I was very satisfied with the delivery time. Set up was simple and straightforward. I connected it to my 16 inch MacBook Pro M1 with the included USB-C cable. This made the setup perfect and freed up my HDMI port for another monitor. The colors on this monitor are great. I was able to edit my images for the SRGB web display output and I have to say the color matched across multiple devices. I'll be doing a print test soon to really test everything…

Rated 2/5First Impression - This item arrived and the box was LARGE and HEAVY. I thought it was a tank. Stuffing it in and unpacking it, I found that half the weight was the box itself. Good thing it was, because I saw the guy from Revain deal with it very slowly and casually. As soon as I got out and looked, he suddenly changed his position. I opened this thing up on Christmas morning as a kid! This is where the real fun begins (sarcasm). The monitor itself was packaged very well and was very…

    • Limited Connectivity

I'm approaching this by finding a cheaper color reference monitor for my home editing suite, powered by a 24fps Decklink card (rather than as a GUI monitor). Really impressive for the price. In some ways it's close to the Eizo CG279X, which I finally settled on after testing a few models (at less than half the price). Brightness is good, color reproduction was almost as good as I would expect from a non-broadcast monitor, build quality was excellent, creating a calibration LUT was fairly easy…
