Works fine for me!

This fan has performed well in my 2,700 square foot home as a horizontally mounted attic exhaust fan. He has been working about 10 hours every night for the past 3 months. I am aware that my installation is not "coded" - neither electrically (see the switch on the side of the device in the picture) nor according to the manufacturer's specifications (must be installed vertically). I've watched its chassis heat up (probably indirectly indicating a change in friction and/or efficiency) and there…

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • boring package

Died after 10 hours of use

The product was installed immediately after purchase in early November, but until recently it was not used except for testing. Here in Atlanta it wasn't hot enough to turn it on, it's connected to the thermostat switch. After no more than ten hours of running for several days, the engine seized. Try contacting the manufacturer and retailer to see if the problem can be resolved. When it worked, the airflow consumed was less. Big. The rating will change if I get a replacement. Great fan, but many design flaws.

, so when I first got it I immediately noticed that the frame is larger than 12x12. So I just gave it up, it wasn't easy and that's good and bad. Good because it's a thick, hardened piece of metal, but bad because I had to cut it to fit. It didn't take much time to install, but here's a FAMOUS bug!. Very loud knocking/popping. At first I thought maybe something is loose. Nothing was dangling, but note one major design flaw. The fan drive shaft has a slight play. The shaft moves freely forwards…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • There are doubts
