The product was installed immediately after purchase in early November, but until recently it was not used except for testing. Here in Atlanta it wasn't hot enough to turn it on, it's connected to the thermostat switch. After no more than ten hours of running for several days, the engine seized. Try contacting the manufacturer and retailer to see if the problem can be resolved. When it worked, the airflow consumed was less. Big. The rating will change if I get a replacement. EDIT 5/15/17 Revain told me they won't do anything for a replacement or exchange as it lasts over 30 days and is bought from Warehouse Deals. They said to call the manufacturer and they will help me. Not true. Called back Revain and eventually got her to refund the money. Returned the goods, but a little problem. Blinds are not permanently attached to the house wall, it is not easy to remove them. So I will order a new one and send the old fan back with new shutters. A BIG PROBLEM. Visit the manufacturer's website for the fan's specifications. It states that it can move air with a maximum temperature of 104 degrees. provided that most attics or garage spaces like mine will surely have much higher temperatures. It looks like a big flaw in the design of the device! Will continue to be updated.
