I use them to isolate our Comcast office cable modem.

I use these to isolate our Comcast office cable modem from our switch and router. Lightning blew up our modem and router and damaged the switch ports. Now he can't. Hardware: Ubiquity Mikrotik CCR-1009-8G-1S-1S+ 48-Port PoE Switch

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • so far so good

Works great for networking products

bought this with a refurbished HP Mellanox 10GBE card. but actually i think i could use almost any sfp+; Mellanox doesn't seem to vendor block its sfp+ modules (Broadcom/Qlogic does; Intel does; Cisco does; a lot of these baddies do, sigh). I put "mikrotik" sfp+ in my Mellanox and it worked too. Using it on Linux gets me close to transfer speeds with standard i5 and i7 systems. Good business.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

No complaints, they work

What can I say, it works. I ordered two of these and each came in a box with matching fiberglass pen caps. I hooked them up to my HP 2920 switches and they work fine. Saved a lot of money ordering OEM units.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Some negatives

Excellent price. suitable for network transceiver

Macroreer was kind enough to send us a review on this product. I was able to get it working in our Cisco gear and recognize it. It doesn't even say it's a third-party product. We haven't used them for a long time, but all current indications are that they will work well. Excellent price.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • crumpled

Works well with 10G switch and 10G card. I'm using

Works well with Zyxel XGS2210-52 and Intel X520-DA2 with Cable Matters Multimode OM4 Duplex 50/125 OFNP LC-LC cables between them.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
