Performance was excellent, electronic manual focus fails

Rokinon was truly impressive value for money. I bought this promising Sigma 85 alternative and it worked very well in every way. The downside for me, however, was the electronic manual focus. It's not bad per se, but I intend to use it a lot for manual focus video and I can see some stepper motor movement with fine manual focus. Also, the speed of the focus ring does not always match the speed of the focus motor. Good lens, takes great pictures, but not for me.

The Rokinon 85mm F1.4 AF lens is NOT a reliable lens

It was a waste of money and time. I'm still crazy about the purchase, I'm very disappointed. Heat is good when you can finally get a picture that isn't blurry. It doesn't matter if the camera is on a tripod or at hand, or if the shutter speed is fast or slow. Looks like a bad lens. I tried 3 different cameras: brand new 5Ds, 5D Mark III and 90D. Auto focus or manual focus sometimes doesn't matter, but sometimes I'm lucky, I have a good picture. There is no image stabilization. with this lens. I

Rokinon vs Canon Best in Photo and Photography

Received this lens today and was pleased to test it with my old Canon 85mm f1.8 lens. This is by no means a complete review, but here are some of my observations: - Focus Speed: Both were surprisingly similar in speed! In fact, I found the Rokinon to be a hair's breadth faster. - Focus Accuracy: Both were very accurate on my 5D IV bodies without calibration. - Focus Noise: The Rokinon had an annoying clicking sound as soon as it was focused. It's much louder than a Canon lens. Sharpness: The…

Not a reliable lens (video included)

I live in Mexico. I bought a Rokinon AF 85mm 1.4 EF lens in early August 2020, very fast delivery. I've used it on the Canon 6TS with no problems and most of the time on the Canon RP. A few days ago I started using it with the Canon M50 and took some shots. However, I have noticed that sometimes when I turn on the M50 camera, the image on the rear LCD is blurry, it doesn't focus at all, even when I press the record button I see the letters MF despite the AF flashing on the screen Lens is…
