Works great with Raspberry Pi by switching the 12v circuit

Works great with Raspberry Pi project. > Connect the Pi's output pin to one of the relay pins > Set up the appropriate GPIO pins for the output > You change the state of the relay by setting the GPIO pin to False/True > There should be a nice click from the If you do this, I use it to switch the 12V power supply to the motor. Works perfectly. They are also often used as part of garage door opening projects. Google for it and you should see a few blogs.

Great Product - Well built and durable - Does the job!

SunFounder 5V Relay Protection Module for Arduino UNO 2560 1280 ARM PIC AVR STM32 (4 Channels) I am very happy with this board. Works with Arduino without any problems. It's responsive and VERY easy to use. However, remember that his logic is active low. So when power is first applied from the Arduino, the low state of the pins will cause the relay to turn on until the Arduino has time to position them. active high, turning them off. I solved this problem by using a 2N2222 transistor and a 1kฮฉโ€ฆ

Relay delivers power to ground (0V) signal and dimensions

4 stars for: no documentation, overall okay processing and good price. Would buy again. A good product for quick use to turn on/off a simple load with a PIC microcontroller. Note that a 0V/GND signal on any input on the relay board will energize/activate the relay, while a 5V signal will de-energize the relay. The relays are listed for 30VDC / 125-250VAC, both 10A, but I've never been familiar with tiny screw terminals of this magnitude. The board has a set of "VCC/GND" jumpers. I believe thisโ€ฆ

Main Disadvantage Best suited for single board computers

I think this has one major disadvantage that most will find similar. You would think that if you send 5V to a relay it would turn the relay on, but the opposite is true. Applying 5V to the relay opens it, otherwise it closes. So if you want to turn something on for the hour/day, you have to turn on the relay for 23 hours if you don't want to turn it on. Using this with a solar application means you are draining the battery at night when there is no sun as you have to send 5V to keep the relayโ€ฆ

Just what I needed

This module is perfect! It is soldered and has screw terminals. Like almost all relays of this type, it cannot handle more than 10 A. In the rest of the world this will not be a problem since 230 V circuit breakers work with 10 A. However, in North America with 15A and 20A circuits, this will not work. This limits you to devices with 1200W or less. My first project with him was a plant watering system. The pump only requires 4-12 volts and probably a few hundred milliamps. BTW if you want toโ€ฆ
