Good product. My child lives with them. Biggest downside, it had to have velcro to close the shoes. At this age of 5, they can't tie their shoes.

I am an adult female 7ft tall and a tall child of 5.5 fits me perfectly. A great option if you don't want to spend $300 on hiking shoes!

Buy Merrel for the first time. I went to put my shoes on for the first time and used the heel wrap and it broke! Very disappointed with the quality of the shoes. I have not worn it at all and cannot return/contact the seller.

Great boot! My son uses it for scout trips and hikes. They fit well and he has no issues with comfort after running for miles. Well done.

In general, a good economical children's hiking shoe. The rubber outsole is non-slip. This is not a Vibram composite. The insoles are paper thin so I will be buying my 11 year old a new thicker insoles for arch support. Let's see how it holds up.

It's FIXED. I ordered a size and a half from my son's last Merrells but they were too small for what we wanted and expected. Went back and ordered a half size up there (only two sizes up from his last pair) and now they are just how we like them. Good shoes.

First pair of proper walking shoes for my son. He was very happy about it and experienced a tough trial period with them in his first winter camp.

We originally bought a pair in a size to match his sneakers. But they were too small. We ended up ordering 1/2 size up to find the right set.

The boots fit my 11 year old boy perfectly. Unfortunately, after wearing it three times, the upper eyelet of the fabric came out of the seam. Now this boot will not lace up properly.

The shoes fit really well. Half a size larger than old age shoes and they fit perfectly. They are very light and yet very robust. The shoes have already been tested on a number of hikes and I am very impressed. No foot pain at the end of the hike.

There is no reinforcement on the rivet holding the metal loop in place. Since I bought them for a good price on Black Friday, I decided to fix them myself. Otherwise they seem to be great kids boots. We'll be testing them on the track soon.

I have small feet so I thought I could buy kids shoes that have better color choices and are cheaper. The quality of Merrel children's shoes is not that great. They're probably fine for kids, but adults won't appreciate the lack of arch support and crappy laces.

Fits as expected and is a quality shoe that works well as a work shoe for youth and adventures in the woods. Easy to clean, leaves no marks on soles and is 3/4 waterproof.

My 11 year old immediately put them on for a hike in the great outdoors and had no problems. Looks like a decent pair of trail boots.

Nice shoes, wish they would fit. They are well made and attractive but the wide width is C at best. I returned these. The search for a true ultra-wide waterproof women's hiking shoe continues.

The inner fabric around Achilles was wrinkled on both boots, but quite badly on the left boot. Would give my kid big blisters during our long hike. That's Merrell's problem. Gave them back and went to the REI. The boots there had the same problem (but not all).

The sole of these sneakers is very soft, which makes them very grippy. Smaller feet don't need to be broken in and my kids were immediately happy with the fit. There's a lot of padding, but they still fit well enough for kids to have good control. I look forward to hearing from the kids once they go camping.
