Perko 0965DP0CHR Chrome Horizontal Marine Review

I ordered a 965 type (2nm) taillight. I ordered it with the pictured LED bulb. The Type 965 has a cartridge style bulb rather than a plug and turn bulb. The LED lamp shown and received will not work with this device.

This is a pretty good flashlight for smaller boats, especially those that originally came with round lights like this. The beauty of this lamp is that it has a thick plastic base that helps cover the light. However, I think for the price it would at least have LED lights instead of the old incandescent bulb. I bought a cheap LED to add it on which looks very nice. They can sometimes be found in used car stores but may have cracked lenses or body corrosion depending on their age. Those…

The old Perko lantern on the stern of my sailboat stopped working and I got tired of fiddling with it and ordered a new lantern. What a big improvement. The old model used the outer part of the lamp as ground (source of erratic behavior) and the new light corrected this deficiency. Also, unlike some others, the wires are strong and long enough for easy attachment.
