💄 Rose and Mandarin Lip Balm by Rosebud Smith - 0.8 Ounce Review

I like all Smith brands. I have to say I'm a little hesitant about this particular lip balm. When it got to me it was almost liquid and flowed out of the tube (it should be solid). All oils ran over the packaging. I left it on for a few hours and it sort of went back to normal. i like the scent I notice that the moisture lasts for up to a minute when I use it and I have to constantly reapply cream throughout the day. Will I buy again, maybe not this one.

I've been using Smith's Classic Rosebud Balm for years and haven't really bothered to try any of the variations (mint rose, strawberry etc) but I love citrus and if I saw , I couldn't resist. I love Rosebud Salve and the vintage jars it comes in. I tried most of the flavors and wanted to try rose and tangerine. I drew the following conclusions: Taste: no taste, but there is a slight spicy burn on the lips. Smell: Spicy and a hint of tangerine that dissipates 45 seconds after application. I was disappointed with this product. It arrived completely melted on the sides, creating a vacuum that made the jar impossible to open. Even in the fridge I had to damage the top to unzip. I was expecting it to be a firmer lip balm when opened, but it isn't. The first ingredient is petroleum jelly, so it has a very sticky consistency like petroleum jelly. Amazing moisturizing and softening properties and a perfect, almost invisible color make this lip a star.
