🔥 Spectra CU1998 Complete Radiator Review

I installed it on my 4Runner a few days ago and it still seems to be doing a good job! Installation is easy too, just 4 bolts, disconnect some hoses, then vice versa! Important note: It is essential to check that the screwed connections of the transmission cooling line are tight! They were not fully tightened when delivered and gear oil dripped on day one, but it stopped after one full tightening.

Purchased for 97 4Runner Limited 4X4 Limited with A340F Automatic Transmission. Looks good but they ship it in a big flat box. The bottom/top of the radiator is well protected. However, transcooler fittings will enter the box if other items are placed on top of the box during shipping. The short transcooler fitting was slightly damaged. It could be used after smoothing the burrs on the surface. Recommended but be prepared to send him back if you catch him with more damage than me.

I am very happy with the cooler. It fit my car perfectly and was easy to install (it has more to do with the car). This was a second attempt at a cheaper replacement hoping the Spectra brand might be better than the ones I've tried before that leaked. It doesn't look like a leak yet, but installation was quite frustrating due to issues with both the base frame screw holes and the fan cover screw holes. First, a support frame arrived so bent that the holes used to attach the radiator to the car were misaligned.
