Removing inner tie rods can be a chore. sometimes they tighten for years and the factory often uses Loctite to prevent loosening. tried with vise, channel locks. This simple tool worked great! turns off after 10 seconds. Just put my 1/2 crowbar on the device and wiggle it a bit and it was free. it's the tool for the job. Forget those long tube-like tools you rent from the auto parts store. it was easy to use. highly recommended.

I bought this with great skepticism and in fact this tool is useless. I would buy a suitable tool (the long tube that fits over the tie rod); In my case, however, the inner tie rod was so bent by the wheel impact that this tool could not be passed through the tie rod. This tool does not cut into the inner tie rod at all and simply slides along the shaft. I need to cut the tie rod at the bend and rent/buy the right tool. Worth the money to see it's not a workaround. Might be useful for something
