After over 4 years this router gets an A+ rating

I have been looking at routers since I bought this from Revaina in September 2010. exceeds the maximum distance to the router. With the Atheros AR9285 Vanilla Wireless Network Adapter on my ASUS UL30-A laptop, I can walk outside at the end of the yard and still get a quick response. People who post "waste of money", "don't buy this" are all idiots and automatically get a useless vote. Instead of constructive criticism, they pour out their hatred. A gentleman reviewed this router around the same

Pros
  • Outstanding design

  • New competition has arrived

Trendnet Crap/Poor Tech Support

Trendnet TEW 632BRP stopped working after a while. It recognized the ISP, as did my other router, but didn't register the DHCP address on the WAN side coming from my ISP, so there was no internet. Double and triple checked that all settings are correct. This ensures that DHCP is fine on the LAN side, but is not accepted at all by the ISP on the WAN side. I call their Indian tech support (very hard to understand) and they claim that since they no longer make this piece of junk they charged a $15

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel

  • Ugly packaging

A good cheap router is the best in the Computers and Accessories category

I bought a router for $25. This is the same hardware as dlink dir-615. The default firmware on this router isn't very pretty, but it has all the basic features. I flashed the router with dlink firmware and it works like a champ. No reboot required, no freezing. It's been almost a month now and now the problems aren't related to dynamic DNS. I'm not sure why, but the update just won't run. I use it in WiFi mixed mode with WPA2-PSK + AES, NAT for internal servers and almost all features and have…

Inexpensive and can be outstanding with some work

Out of the box I'm not sure how this router compares to others but if you know anything about flashing router firmware there is some options to improve comfort usage. Please note that flashing alternative firmware will void your warranty if you are unable to restore the original firmware. This is not always possible; In fact, you can "bricked" the router. Proceed at your own risk. Externally, this router is almost identical to the D-Link DIR-615, and you can install firmware for the D-Link…

  • Worth the money

Doesn't work with Dell computers

I bought this router because of the price and the fact that Trend makes some other good products. However, this product did not work. I connected it to my HP laptop and HP desktop with some difficulty and had good performance. My husband was out of town for a few weeks and when he got back we tried to set up his Dell laptop. I've been in computer technology since 1986, have built tons of computers, set up dozens of WIFI routers and have never had a worse experience. I spent 8 hours with Trend…
