Hose outlet to fit brake bleeder tools

Don't misunderstand my review. The bottle works. The reason it only gets 2 points in my books is because the tubing you have to look at and check for bubbles is not a fully transparent tubing. It is matte, very difficult to see bubbles through it. The funny thing is that the tube inside the bottle is clear. I don't know how it makes sense. Whoever is responsible for the hoses has to change the materials there. Place the frosted tube on the inside and the clear tube on the outside. I immediately

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Negative impression

The rubber hose from the cylinder to the bleed valve started to break off a little at the third gauge, on the last caliber it came loose twice leaving a ring around the bleed valve. It wasn't anything exotic, it was a Ford Explorer Sport track with DOT 3 brake fluid. I suspect the fluid destroys the rubber of this particular product. Which is obviously the problem. Another thing I'm not happy with is that I want the plastic to be transparent and not opaque. When you bleed your brake system…

Worked fine once I figured out what I was doing wrong.

My truck was quite tall on four stands, but the suction hose was long enough to put a bottle on the ground. I also opened the fitting and pressed the brake pedal. The large bubbles soon stopped, but very small bubbles continued to appear in the tube. It took a while but I finally figured out that with the bottle under the air vent it was trying to suction and pull air around the loose air vent. Once I slipped the bottle over the faucet, those tiny bubbles stopped appearing and the process was…

The best but with a few flaws

This is the best tool I've used to bleed the brakes with one person. This makes the job quick and relatively easy. The check valve works well to prevent backflow so it can be used by one person. There are several disadvantages. On my '04 Odyssey, the front bleeders are a bit too big for the hoses that come with them, and when I got to the rear brakes, the hoses were scratched and torn. It was also difficult to put the tubes on the front screws as the tubes are a bit small. For smaller, more…

Best single person bleed system in my shops

I've been trying to bleed brakes for years. I have a vacuum pump and a large one person primer box. None of them seem to work for me. Will the vacuum pump be seriously disturbed by the anti-lock brakes in my cars and the large vent box? Let's just say it's being redesigned. I bought this unit based on the reviews and the fact that it has a built in check valve. I've used it on 4 cars already and had no problems. In fact, I was able to flush the brakes on my wife's car with no trouble. A few…

Prerequisite for flushing the brake fluid by one person.

Just tried flushing the brake fluid on one of my cars for the first time. I tend to be alone when I work on my cars so this was the closest inexpensive way to flush brake fluid besides the gravity method. Easy to use. It came with a hose connected to the black piece and the center of the lid. I assume the check valve was in the middle since you can see through the black piece (which I think is for ventilation). Disconnect the hose from the black part, connect it to the caliper exhaust valve…

The check valve has stopped working and the fluid hose has blown all over

I'm a certified master technician working on high end vehicles and the last thing I need is for this check valve to stop working and damaging the line. The bottle sprays brake fluid over the inner fender, caliper and suspension components. I had to clean up this huge mess and it was so embarrassing, not to mention the extensive cleaning of the customer's car. I tried blowing the check valve but it's clogged on both sides. So this time I plugged it back in without the check valve and had someone

Spend money once.

I have never used a disposable pump but have always wanted to have access to one. I was arguing between this model and the one that was $8-15 on Amazon. I chose this one mainly because of the included check valve and larger reservoir. I would recommend that the quality of this product justifies its price tag. The hose is made of soft silicone material with thick walls. It stays tight (and airtight) on the bleed nipples regardless of twisting or slight tugging. It is easy to place/lay and is…
