Really works in tube fittings

Really works. Expensive, but worth it for the right application. I had copper close to the joists, horizontal with water retention. no problem

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Easily torn

Great addition to my plumbing tool bag.

I had to run into a copper water pipe that had no outlet in either direction. This "T" is expensive, but I finished the faucet in less than 5 minutes.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Nothing here

Exactly as advertised!

The sliding version is much easier to use than the regular version when trying to fix copper where there is no flexibility. The clips work well, but if you want to use them, spend big and get a release pliers. They make the job a lot easier because you're never in the perfect spot when plumbing.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Expensive

great for adding a faucet to a pipe where you can't move both ends

Difficult to explain but important in cases where you want to use shark bite to make a T in a pipe, where this is not possible Separate the ends after cutting the section. It dries completely within a year. However, I only use shark bites on an exposed wall or ceiling so I can test them just to be safe.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Shark Bite works great

I have been using their fittings since 2012 to replace the hot water tank barrier or add barriers to zones. Look at my photos and you will see how little water flows through a ΒΌ inch refrigerator saddle valve. In the pipe I removed for the tee, I drilled a hole for comparison. I also bought a quarter turn check valve. Just unplug the pipe, make a good mark on the 1" insert, and you're good to go.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Minor repairability

Does the job but be careful.

Loose connections can be dangerous. It is very hard to go all the way to get the full version with the little compound tool that is provided. Unfortunately, it was so hard that the jet jumped out of my hand and into my forehead. Less pain than a small cut that could easily have gotten into my eye. Therefore, at least eye protection or the use of a special professional tool is recommended.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Compatibility

Quick and Easy - Pipe Fittings

I needed pipework for an ice maker. I used this to connect to an existing cold water line. It was fairly easy to use, I cut the copper according to the instructions, deburred and made sure it was clean on the outside to ensure a good connection. Slide it to one side and then use the release clip (btw it comes with one, you don't need to order another) and then make sure it's fully inserted on the other side. I used their depth tool but I think you could just use a tape measure instead. On the…

  • Great Price
Cons
  • Almost Never

It works, but take a compression clamp with you.

If you slide it onto one tube and then try to pull it back to another tube, you must first squeeze the round plastic to release its grip on the 1st tube when you slide it onto the 2nd tube. set pipe . You can buy a cheap horseshoe tool or buy a more expensive clamp. Buy a collar! This makes it much easier to detach the 1st whistle when you put it on another whistle. Keep in mind that it still takes some effort to put it on another pipe. That's why the clip makes it easier to release one side…

  • Cool product

  • Something different

Good product! in Tube Fittings

I'd like to start by saying I'm familiar with copper sweating from a DIY perspective, but I wanted to see for myself what SharkBite and PEX have to offer. My project involved connecting a water powered sump pump to an existing 3/4" copper line. I went with SharkBite and PEX and now I'm convinced it's great to see what magic kept it from leaking after installation. I scoffed at the idea that I could fit this little device to my existing boiler and not find any leaks. I was wrong. Since…
