Love Stitches

Love Stitches. Although the book is in Japanese, the explanations at the end of the book are good, with diagrams. If you have an idea of Tunisian crochet and regular crochet, it is not difficult to understand the stitches and abbreviations.

  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • Without Car

The best book about Tunisian crochet!

This is the best Tunisian crochet book I have and I have quite a few. Knitting patterns are beautiful and unusual. There's even a two-tone double-sided checkerboard pattern. The book is entirely in Japanese, but the charts and graphs are very clear, so much of it is pretty self-explanatory. There are some tough points to solve, but nothing insurmountable.

Pros
  • Knitting and Crochet
Cons
  • Bad Instructions

Graphs and charts for non-Japanese readers

This book contains very little English. A color image of each pattern is accompanied by a graphic showing how that pattern is made. Many of the movements/mechanisms to create each stitch are listed at the end of the book in diagram form showing how the thread and hook are moved to create a stitch. Most patterns have additional Japanese text explaining the more complex parts of the pattern. The chart symbols appear to be standard Tunisian crochet symbols, so one can read how to create that…

Pros
  • Crochet pattern
Cons
  • Doubt
