The sad, unfortunate tale and end of TheCoin. pw

As much as crypto currency platforms are making waves in the world of finance, they often pride themselves on the security measures adopted to ensure the safety of customer assets, but the truth is that digital currencies have one peculiar weakness, which is; “Nothing is totally secure in the cyber world”. A lot of crypto platforms have fallen victim to hackers who have successfully made away with the supposedly safe tokens of investors and holders.
A very popular and supposedly one of the most secure crypto exchanges announced that it was hacked on 26th September, 2020 and hackers made away with some huge amount of money.
These hacks have different impacts on these platforms as some could bounce back while some never recover.
One of such platforms that haven’t recovered from its security breach is TheCoin. pw. This platform was a multiple cryptocurrency mining pool where miners mined a wide range of cryptocurrencies such as: TGC, ASC, CNC, ZET, DGB, DGC, FST, FFC, FRK, XJO, SXC, SWING, TIT, UNIT, XVG, ACOIN, WBB, NOTE, FLO, MYR, CSC, MEC, GLD, etc. It also provided crypto currencies exchange services. You could mine for as low as 0% fee on this pool.
The pool had rank of 965,871 which has gone down significantly in the past 3 months. It had an estimated worth of USD 35,517.
The pool was functioning properly until the cyber attack suffered as reported on its website. This led to the pool and exchange being discontinued. A lot of coins were lost as a result of this cyber attack and the company promised to refund the stolen assets to customers.
It’s such a shame that a mining pool and exchange with such fascinating features for earning crypto currencies met such an untimely demise.
