Bob’s Repair allows customers to see previous prices paid for similar jobs. This transparency in pricing gives consumers a realistic guide for what a job should cost based on what others have paid in the past.
Bob’s Repair provides an escrow service running on smart contracts that make sure both parties are protected during the course of a home repair transaction. The completed job description is published on the Escrow site while the consumer is provided with a list of suitable contractors along with their price rates and reviews. The escrow system guarantees that payments are only made when both parties are satisfied with the job.
The Bob Application was built on the STEEM blockchain for many reasons: it has a 3 second transaction time and no transaction cost; he STEEM blockchain is also well suited to the Prandeckis’ goal of limiting the role of advertisers; the ability to flag posts as well as the building of user reputations on the blockchain, so a contractor moves up in visibility based on merit (if a contractor has a negative reputation and a history of over quoting jobs, he will fall in visibility).
