IOTA (IOTA)

IOTA is building an worldwide interconnected infrastructure based on the concept system called Internet of Things. This implies a new reality with deeper interaction between the real and the virtual worlds, where interaction between people and devices (and between devices themselves) is happening automatically through wireless communication channels, connected to the internet.

IOTA token is the main payment unit in this system. According to the devs vision, the electronic things you own (Tesla, for example) might have its own IOTA wallet, which will be able to independently pay the cost of parking, a full battery charge, fines and so on.

Interesting fact is that the platform does not use blockchain in favor of its unique technology called Tangle. The developers claim it's just an improved version of the blockchain that doesn't use blocks. All for one reason - to be able to process an immense number of payments and transactions (regardless of the amount), at the same time, easily adapting to a new high-level networks.

My personal feeling about the project:
I honestly think that IOTA is a sleeping giant... Iota is one of the most high-tech, cutting edge projects out there. Diving deeper and deeper into the essence of this project, you involuntarily start thinking that the future... REAL future is already knocking on our door.

The project team is working on improving the internal system of the platform and gradually expanding its functions. Some people argue that Internet of Things will become a mandatory built-in feature of billions and billions of appliances and tech objects around the world.

Therefore, in an optimistic scenario and mass adoption of these technologies, you can see IOTA grow at a price of tens, or even hundreds of times. But that's all speculative thoughts, there's still a lot of challenges on the way, so I guess the time will tell.
