LGBTQ Network Foundation - my opinion
LGBT people are often victims of discrimination, violence, and very harmful stereotypes, the media play a very important role in shaping the opinions of a large number of people, and it is very important to follow ethical reporting recommendations, respect professional reporting standards and thus avoid sensationalism.
There is still a lot of room for improvement, given the presence of extremely unacceptable forms of reporting on trans people, the use of offensive terms, but also wrong, ie expressions that are not in line with the terminology recommended by trans people themselves and activists.
