Litecoin was well placed to benefit from a worldwide increase in cryptocurrency trading as the crypto markets in countries such as Japan and China became more developed. However, part of the current surge in popularity can be attributed to Litecoin’s adoption of features such as the Lightning Network and Segregated Witness (SegWit), technology which has allowed the network to process more transactions and be used across the web to pay for a range of goods and services.

If only the LTC acquires a personal transaction with MWBWN and is successful in developing marketing and adoption, then the LTC could become the currency of the Internet and thus lead! While that may be quite possible, it also depends on the LTC team in charge of development, and Charlie really wants to handle all of this and give him the encouragement he needs!
Pros
- High hash rate support that allow a fast secure chain. -Very low transaction fee -High development potential with 'segwit' activation - IOS/Android Mobile wallet - Miners add value with merged mining.
Cons
- Very resilient to price(LTCUSD) change; -Not very proactive in development it got its code and core from BTC ; (Subject to change with segwit deployment) -It does noting exceptional
