Pros
- NEM is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency and a blockchain platform in production since March 31, 2015. It was developed in Java language, and a version written in C ++ is being developed. Mosaics then are the basic building blocks of Smart Assets that you can use to represent lots of simple things: it could be a coin, a signature, a status update or more โ you decide.
Cons
- On 26 January 2018, Japanese cryptocurrency exchange Coincheck, was the victim of a massive hack resulting in a loss of 523 million NEM coins, worth approximately $534 million. The hack only involved NEM. However responsability is on Coincheck team.
