TurtleCoin that was started December 9th, 2017 by two developers (Bebop and Rocksteady). According to the tale of the founding, the two were in a bar and were discussing the plethora of fake ICOs and shitcoins in the market (see more details about TurtleCoin history on the official website). The developers aimed to start a project that was focused on technology and community development and that did not require a large pre-mine, ICO or marketing budget.
Despite the fact that Turtlecoin was started as a “fun” project, there are a number of features that make it quite an advanced coin: short block times, strong privacy, easy mining, user friendly wallet.
One of the biggest incentives for new users to join Turtlecoin project is the mining aspect. The short block times and reasonable block rewards mean that the coin is quite easy to mine.
urtleCoin has a current supply of 39 560 164 951 TRTL.
TRTL is tradable on Trade Satoshi, Bilaxy, TradeOgre and CHAOEX exchanges.

Pros
  • - I suggest you read the story about the birth and origin of TurtleCoin on the official website. It's a curious and funny story. - Fast transactions (TurtleCoin is creating blocks every 30 seconds so your money travels 20x faster than on Bitcoin or BitcoinCash blockchains). - Easy to use (TurtleCoin platform supports almost every OS. it's possible to create a secured paper-wallet for free, in under 5 minutes). - Simple and easy mining (TurtleCoin comes with its own basic CPU miner, but you can also use any Monero mining software. It's recommend XMR-Stak Unified Miner). - Strong privacy (TurtleCoin has the same privacy features you'll find in Monero and other similar cryptocurrencies).
Cons
  • - It's necessary to expand the Community, given that the project does not have a marketing team or a commercial budget. - Young project; the team still has to work hard to improve the project and make it better known. - TRTL was launched without a whitepaper and still does not have one to this day.
