I bought this as a gift for my cousin when she moved into a fairly large house where most hotspots barely cover living areas could. The house itself is almost 5000 square meters. Feet plus backyard used for entertainment. This system covered the entire house and even the entire backyard so the coverage is excellent. However, there are some disadvantages. First is the setup, you can only set this up with the app and a TP-Link account, which was annoying as I like to set everything up manually with the advanced setup via the web interface. The app is very easy to follow and no doubt anyone can do it as long as you just read and follow the on-screen instructions. The second issue is security: the router only supports WPA, not WPA2, so it's a pretty basic security system. The Wi-Fi speed is decent, when connected to the main unit (connected to a modem) you can saturate the internet connection at 200 Mbit/s. You will lose some speed when connecting via satellite, the max speed I got was around 120Mbps. Now this uses WiFi transport network and the system supports wired transport network. So if you can connect them together, it's much better. All in all it's a really good system, great coverage, seamless transmission, decent speeds and very easy setup. Just don't expect to do a lot of advanced configuration with it.
