These shock sockets work great. I regularly use 1 3/16 inch.

These impact sockets work great on flange connections; have not had any problems with 12-point slip so far. Update: Installed 4 years old, works great, Only bushing that had to be replaced twice was 1-3/16" as it is the most abused on heavy gears (extreme angle and tight knuckle tolerance). Colleagues borrowed sockets from me when their S***-O* couldn't come to the house or nearby.
