This is a great option. It holds any size electrode very well and is made of high quality machined brass and steel. Before writing this review I did a decent time test. I'm a pipe welder working in large industrial and commercial operations piercing all sizes of rod and pipe with this thing and it's by far the most comfortable grip I've ever used. My only issue with this thing is that the rubber coating on the end of the opening lever wears out pretty quickly, buckling all over the place. I'm just going to shrink it down with the repair sleeves you would use for bare welding wire. I'm sure it will serve me very well and last for many years.
