good stainless steel insert

They are stainless steel although the photo shows brass. But by the time you read this review, that might have changed. as always ;) More importantly, these are very high quality threaded inserts. The size of the hole to be drilled depends on the hardness of the wood used. Test in a crowbar. I think Robert's suggestions above are excellent, as were my conclusions. Insertion. Put some wax on it so it can be easily removed after sitting down. I also have a paste tool that works great when you're busy.
