Nice fan, amazing how much air it moves for its size. The reason I deducted a star is that it cannot be controlled out of the box. As mentioned in other reviews, you can make it rideable by adding a capacitor, a 220uF capacitor at 16V. However, it's surprisingly difficult to find detailed instructions or pictures on exactly how to add a capacitor. So I'll add them here and hope it helps someone else looking for information. My description aside, I'm not the best at explaining things. I will put photos between the description and the photos so hopefully you can figure it out. So your fan has both a positive and negative wire, red is positive, black is negative. You take a capacitor and it is also directed. So if you look at the capacitor you can see very clearly which terminal is negative. Make sure the capacitor is connected correctly or it will explode. All you have to do is connect the positive terminal of the capacitor to the positive terminal of the fan and the negative terminal of the capacitor to the negative terminal of the fan. Then connect the fan as desired. That's all.
