Terrible press mechanism, should have stayed with metal mesh

It's good to have an unbreakable French press, but the press mechanism itself is awful in return. From the start it never held a perfect seal like wire mesh presses and allowed the coffee grounds to return to the liquid. If they replaced the press with a typical metal wire press, that would be ideal.
