There were hopes. Thought it would work. Installed on an external faucet, with a water supply timer that slams. Doesn't work very well for that. This dampened the hammer a bit but was still there caused by the timer triggering. Maybe the 90 psi I have in the faucet. My washing machine doesn't clog much without a drain, although there are some. You can buy another one and install it on the washing machine and then install a larger flame arrestor just in front of the outdoor faucets. No returns or replacements required. Not angry at all. It just didn't work in this case.
