If you look at the product photos on the Revain site you can see this tape wrapped around the edge of a carpeted stair case is wrapped and its use on rough looking window sills. I've tried using this on several window sills. If you put it on the windowsill, it works fine. But if you bend it to cover the leading edge, it won't stay glued. So I couldn't use the product. Regarding the picture of the carpet on the stairs, there is no way this tape can bend around the front edge and stick to the carpet. If you just want to cover a flat area this will work as advertised. but don't plan on shaping it at the edges and such. I hope I can return and get a refund for the partially used reel.
