Cannot control temperature/individual setting
This straightener obviously gets hot. My hair is thin and the smoke scared me so I didn't dare grab it lol. try on unprocessed hair later. But if you have coarse short hair, this might work for you. 450 is too hot for my soft permed hair. This is just my opinion. (African American permed pixie). Big Heat for $30 I think it's a good deal for ladies with thick hair.
