This kit is a great upgrade over the standard bonnet stay. The hood opens an inch or two higher than before and you don't have that pesky stick holding it open. The pistons require very little effort to open and close the hood, just lift it a little and the hood will open by itself. The kit is literally screwed on with screws, but there is one minus. After installation, the hood doesn't close properly around the back so the lines don't converge. The only way to fix this is to cut off some of the plastic and/or insulation from the back of the car. I milled off excess material with a drywall cutter and now the hood closes perfectly. ATTENTION! The first time you try to open and close the hood, it looks like it's about to break. This is normal, just try gently more and more until the hood closes and then it should work properly the second time.
