Don't waste your money

I bought this for my first generation Miata which this product is advertised for. After installation, the hood stopped docking with the front fenders. This created a gap where I could see the effects and it looked really bad. I contacted the seller to let him know and he basically didn't offer to take them back. I found a better one online for $20 less and it works much better. Honestly save your money.

Pros
  • dope 🔥
Cons
  • sad packaging

Great kit, worth every penny

I originally disassembled the parts to put this setup together for my Miata, the brackets didn't work, I had to weld my own, the shocks didn't have the right stroke length so instead of spending an extra $40 on possibly wrong stuff I bought this kit. Worth every penny. Very well thought out, works perfectly. The top opens up to the hinges and closes completely. The shocks are pressured correctly etc etc etc. We put a lot of thought into getting this kit right.

  • handy item

Best kit for Miata but requires some modifications

Probably the best kit you can get for Miata without cutting or drilling. Quick and easy installation. However, the cylinders struck the upper wing propeller. There is a shorter screw in the kit but it still hits. I recommend grinding the screws that come with it to clean the cylinders. When installed, the hood will sit higher with approximately 1/8 inch clearance on the sides. The hood will also feel loose as it no longer rests on the factory mounts. You have to step back a little from the…

Looks good and works just unclear instructions

Ok look they work and look good but their installation is a bit confusing. For the price they're worth it but if you just want something that works then they fit but direct (instructions were on video it was fun). Overall I would recommend them, they're not bad and if you want something that looks decent and performs well for the price, you can't beat them.

Pros
  • Same as everything so far
Cons
  • Nothing here

Great upgrade! good for aftermarket

This kit is a great upgrade over the standard bonnet stay. The hood opens an inch or two higher than before and you don't have that pesky stick holding it open. The pistons require very little effort to open and close the hood, just lift it a little and the hood will open by itself. The kit is literally screwed on with screws, but there is one minus. After installation, the hood doesn't close properly around the back so the lines don't converge. The only way to fix this is to cut off some of…

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • I won't say anything

I bought this kit as it is the only one I could find that fits my car that comes with bonnet/hood blast blocks. The kit arrived in the UK with no problems with paper instructions and a QR code to view the Mighty Car Mods YouTube video. The first impression is good. You will receive replacement hex head screws to replace the hood/lid screws. So keep that in mind as you approach this, as you'll need more than just a set of outlets. The bracket that goes all the way to the fender for the hood/hood

  • Always Loved
