This kit comes in a great zipped (with handles) fabric and vinyl tote bag that opens flat, with half the yarn on each side. Ergonomic crochet hooks are housed in a plastic display case - a slot for each size. Accessories are housed in a zippered mesh pocket large enough to hold "extra". The zip pocket and hooks were sandwiched between two pieces of twine in the middle so nothing was damaged. All of this for less than $30 - loved it! The yarn is soft and of good quality. Actually, for small projects I wanted a few more strands of the smaller "Bon Bons" that I saw in the sample books I bought. I'm a 74 year old 'newbie' so I think this is perfect and would make a good gift for someone just starting out.
