Review on Aquaneat Aquarium Thermometer Terrarium Batteries Fish & Aquatic Pets by Steve Campbell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

UPDATED REVIEW. again.

UPDATE 2: The seller responded promptly and sent a replacement. I'll check the other two at the same time for redundancy and use an analog thermometer to see if the temperatures differ. UPDATE 1: The water heater has failed and I decided to check the thermometer as well. The thermometer used reads 52.8 degrees compared to two previously unused thermometers (72.8, 72.9) bought as spares. It is in fresh water with no mineral deposits or probe/cable damage. Replaced the battery and no improvement. Will contact seller but would not recommend if the same thing happens to the other two. 3 ordered, no reason not to have backups at such a low price. All tested within (0.1) degrees Fahrenheit at room temperature. Turns on with a single short press, turns off with a 3 second press. No alarms at this price point, but if you're really serious, get Rainbird. Best price for Revain with batteries included.

Pros
  • EASY INSTALLATION: The suction cup submersible probe is easy to install in water (submersible probe only, do not immerse thermometer in water); Press "PWR" for 3 seconds to turn off
Cons
  • . I don't remember
