Bought this for my Saturn Ion 07 to get rid of the check engine light. I checked or replaced every other component of the vaporizer system, narrowing it down to the gas cap. Installed this plug and disconnected the battery for a few hours. When I reconnected the battery and started the car, the engine light went out. After 3/4 tank the light came back on, I was blown away but decided to give it another try. Disconnected and reconnected the battery for a few hours. Check engine light is off. I already have 3 or 4 full tanks and the indicator doesn't light up. So if your check engine light has been on for a while it may take a few resets before it is removed after a new cap. Also, there is no OEM wire attached to this cover, but the check engine light is off.
