I removed the center console from my truck and connected it to the power supply with the key. I then connected the USB cable to charge my phone and routed the cable to the dash mounted phone holder. This device was attached with double sided tape, not visible, and the console was reassembled. This provided a much cleaner setup for charging the phone than a cigarette charger cable running through the console for all to see. Note. I wrapped the entire device in heat shrink tubing for protection, just in case. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.
