I have used this product to install wire on picture frames that already had rings and it has worked well The wire is strong and the clamps provided hold the ends of the wire in place However I then tried the D -Installing rings on the back of two picture frames that didn't have pre-installed frames. I was only able to fit one D-ring because the tops of several screws broke before I could thread them fully into the frame. I've had it with and without pre-drilled ones Tried screw holes; they broke no matter what. I decided to just replace the picture frames and buy some with the hardware already attached. I advise you not to buy this picture frame set, buy some wire instead.
