Review on Marantz Professional MPM 1000 Microphone Windscreen by Jasin Gilstrap

Bought two so that a co-worker and I could record podcasts. One worked perfectly, but the other had terrible static right out of the box. I tried different cables, different combinations of sound card and digital recorder, but the result was the same. Revain picked it up and sent me a replacement with next day delivery and overnight delivery. Great service from Revain. The microphones have a warm sound and are well suited for our purposes. In a non-silenced room you'll need to be fairly close to the mic (6-8 inches) to eliminate any echo, but other than that these are great little mics at a great price. I also use Rode NTG-2 for sound recording. /o for online courses, but I'll try the MPM-1000. The Rode is a great mic, but at $275 it's a bit over the top.
