The microphone works great. Shockmount and stand, not so much.

I bought this mic for my church so I can hear the priest at the altar for a live broadcast. It's definitely great for that and picks up the sound really well, especially when paired with a quality mixer. However, the damper doesn't really do the job and the stand isn't very solid and easily tips over when the mic is placed. at an angle. These are pretty much disposable unless you can make them "MacGyver" to make them workable, which I had to do. by price.

Great entry-level condenser microphone. Great quality and great price.

An excellent microphone for the beginner who knows what "condenser microphones" and "phantom power" are. Very high quality construction for the price. I'm a musician who plays and records guitar and vocals for fun. This allows for very clear pickup of guitar and vocals and is forgiving of changes in mic distance during performance. A single microphone is good for amplifying a singing quartet in a church. Gain can be high enough before feedback is detected at normal volume levels. Fairly…

Best blown away in Multipurpose

I've never had a microphone like this before. When I was younger I played with sound quite a bit, overdubbing with a tape recorder and a cheap analog mixer; noise everywhere. In an attempt to reiterate, I tried using typical PC audio solutions, but they all showed too much noise and/or interference. I ended up with a Behringer UMC204HD for both audio output and input; much better than any PC sound card I've tried. Even with my old dynamic mic, the UMC204HD was a big improvement. However, when I

Good Podcast Microphones - Microphones and Accessories

Bought two so that a co-worker and I could record podcasts. One worked perfectly, but the other had terrible static right out of the box. I tried different cables, different combinations of sound card and digital recorder, but the result was the same. Revain picked it up and sent me a replacement with next day delivery and overnight delivery. Great service from Revain. The microphones have a warm sound and are well suited for our purposes. In a non-silenced room you'll need to be fairly close…

Outstanding quality for the price.

I would recommend anyone looking for a sub $200 microphone with XLR recording capability to buy the MPM-1000. Great, amazing, amazing. Just some of the adjectives that describe the quality of this microphone. This is by far the best mic I've seen in this price range and beyond. The only thing they're beginning to excel at is true pro-quality mics, which are typically hand-built or expensive. I bought two after looking at reviews of my wife's podcast she started. I was amazed at the quality. We…

I was looking for a set of microphones that I could easily use in a portable 'podcast' recording situation. Basically something that was portable and not very expensive but of decent quality for recording quality audio. After reading some reviews of these Marantz MPM-1000 microphones I decided to give them a try. Overall I am very happy with the value of these. They work well enough with my Zoom H6 recorder to bring them to the location to record interviews and discussions. The stands are a bit

I am impressed! in general purpose

I have had a dynamic microphone for many years. It served me well, but the noise was just awful, especially for podcasts. So I bought Blue Snowball. Again, the sound quality was much better, but I couldn't control myself directly. Frustrated, I bought a small mixer, but the Snowball didn't work because it's USB only and the channels are analog. I started looking for an XLR recording microphone. I came across this and was very skeptical of his work due to the surprisingly low price. I took a…
