Disappointing edge for kitchen dining room

Bought a great kitchen knife based on Case knives good reputation. The blade is very thin (plus or minus depending on usage). The plastic handle fits perfectly in the hand. The grind looks like it was taken at 4:30am on a Friday. at the top uneven and unsuccessful. Very good (120 grit) sanding attempt. No finely polished edge. Of course, it will fade after the first use. I expected more from Case. I will repair and sharpen the edge, then polish to a mirror finish. but it should come from the factory with a decent margin. Very disappointing
