Review on 🔧 Flexible Overture Filament: Optimizing Dimensional Consumables by David Everett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My new favorite yarn

Firstly it comes in a large, strong, reusable pouch which is very handy as TPU absorbs moisture very easily. A quick bake at around 160°F will return the filament to an anhydrous state for amazing results. I was able to print chain links with excellent finish, overlap and no sign of bleeding between jet strokes. My ancient i3 extruder can easily run at about 20mm/sec. to press. This filament also has amazing adhesion and also prints well on cold bed with masking tape or Kapton tape. If you haven't used flexible filament before, give this option a try. To be honest, there's something exciting about making soft parts that can bend.

Pros
  • Dimensional accuracy and consistency
Cons
  • Price
