Review on πŸ”¬ Reliable Milttor 5 Packs 493629 691035 Fuel Filter: A Superior Replacement for Deere Toro/Wheel Horse 71-5960 and Kohler by Roger Diaz

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The inner filter element falls out of the outlet. Fuel can simply flow past the filter element!

I just received a pack of 5 of these filters and four of the five had internal rattling. Without an internal filter cartridge permanently attached to the outlet, all fuel can simply take the path of least resistance and bypass the filter element entirely! In this scenario, the user never knows what's going on and the engine doesn't get any protection. If you have them, just try shaking them a little and see if the element rattles at all. In this case, the filter cannot do its job properly. The manufacturer must apply some type of adhesive/sealant to PERMANENTLY attach the item to the outlet. A NOTICE. You can insert a blunt object of the right size into the IN port and press the filter element firmly into the recess in the OUT port and it will appear to stay in place and then it will work properly (but for how long?). Vibration can eventually bring the element back after some time of use, rendering the filter completely ineffective. However, the user will probably not notice this and will therefore feel in a false sense of security.
