This is not the most absorbent kitchen towel, I wouldn't recommend it for a mess as it is white. It's not soft in the plush sense, but the material is smooth and kind of soft. Graphics aren't those cheap, thick, sticker-like letters that peel off, which is great. They have been washed several times and have not changed a bit. The lettering and images look great, have great borders and detailing and look like a much more expensive boutique towel. These towels are a lot bigger than the other kitchen towels we have from the bathroom and beyond, but they aren't as thick, we mostly hang them up for decoration. I got some of these for my mom for mothers day because she looks after my kids while i'm at work and she loves them. I highly recommend them, they go with any decor.
