Calibration failed in a week! Recalibration failed

This meter seemed promising at first. I did the initial pH calibration using different buffer powders and distilled water. Well calibrated and delivered stable results compared to the test strip. It was used to read the pH of the water in an aquarium. In less than a week, I noticed that the readings were actually different than I expected. I checked it again against the test strip and it really wasn't the same as before and clearly out of calibration already. When I tried to recalibrate with the second set of included buffer powders, the meter didn't calibrate properly. It starts at 6.98 gauge and then should automatically go up to 4.0 gauge. Instead of calibrating to 4.0 it reverted to 6.98 and there was nothing I could do to get it back on track with its program. And the water 6.98 has already been thrown away, and since no more powder has been provided, I'm having a hard time trying to start over until I order more powder. It's too much frustration and a waste of time for what should be a step up from low-end meters. In my experience, it's comparable to the $10 counters that everyone is always complaining about. This one is garbage too. To return.
