Able to read and write without any difficulties. In theory, I'm fine with the norms, but I could stand to maintain a lower volume. It is possible for the buzzing to be rather loud on the floor of the apartment at night, which can make reading difficult. I started with the aesthetic benefits and worked my way up to the color of my case and both cases. Recorded 20 BD - RE Verbatim discs, 25 GB each. DVD-RW and DVD-R are both capable of reading and writing without any issues. Burning software called ImgBurn, version 2.5.8.0.
- At the time of purchase, the firmware was the most recent version. Reads and writes to the majority of disc formats. There is also an OEM choice available.
- The drive is extremely noisy, and the tray makes a rumbling sound. Considered in two separate circumstances. One is held in place by a screw, whereas the other does not. When traveling at six times the normal speed, aircraft rumble and vibrate. When burning Blu-Ray discs, the only speed at which you should feel comfortable is 1x.
