It will burn 1/8" 6011 bars at 110 volts but I could not get a stable arc for 3/32" 7018 bars. With 7018 bars at 110 volts, the arc is extinguished after a maximum of one to three seconds. Even holding the arc for a second was very difficult. I was using a 15 amp outlet with a 30ft heavy duty extension cord so with a 20 amp circuit and no extension cord there may be room for improvement, or perhaps a 220 volt supply is required to run the 7018 -weld rods properly. Edit: I found out today that there are 7018 type rods with a flux specifically formulated for these low voltage welders. I have to try the 7018AC bars.
